Snail slime is the magic antidote for psoriasis, eczema and restless leg syndrome, according to Kieran Corley, owner of one million snails on his Monaghan farm.
He has been collecting the creatures’ mucin, or slime, to provide a topical cream solution for skin problems and has been increasing his product list to include anti-ageing creams and hand cream under his Bragan Skincare brand.
Most recently, his products have been used on people who suffer from restless leg syndrome, also known as Willis-Ekbom disease, which causes a creeping sensation in feet and legs, making it hard to sleep at night.
